In John 19:30 when Jesus had completed his assignment on earth He said: "It is finished". By God's permission- the four year ongoing destruction of the United States of America by the Trump administration is finished! The joy I feel in my heart and the joy so many others feel as well is palpable but make no mistake about it- that elation was only felt by half of the people in this country letting us all know that the hatred and division exposed by Trumps tenure, hasn't gone anywhere and we still have work to do. Yes, I believe God tells us in His Word that everything that He has established for His children has already been done. The rest He left up to us to do. He told us to love thy neighbor as thyself ... He told us that the poor we would have with us always... He told us that we wrestle not against flesh and blood but spiritual wickedness in high places... He told us that people would become lovers of self and lovers of money ...He told us that when the wicked rule the people mourn....He told us to seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness... He told us who are my mother and my brother but those who do the will of my father in heaven... and He told us this: There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil. (Proverbs 6:16-18). Six of these are irrefutable traits of the former President, one I'll leave open for discussion. I could go on and on with what God tells us about the things of this world and how we should live our lives according to His word- all of which is outlined in the scriptures, but suffice to say that nothing and I do mean nothing in this life lasts forever. Forever is an eternity thing, but for the time being like the saying goes ...this too shall pass. Praise be to God that this very dark time that we have been going through is passing on to the next phase. Hopefully we as a country can get a hold of this pandemic. I'm not just talking about CoVid but the pandemic of racism and injustice and greed -a cancer that has steadily been metastasizing. We won't ever live in a perfect world... with perfect people or perfect governance but as people who truly believe in the so-called constitutional principles that this country was supposedly founded on...pushing towards the mark should always be the order of the day. And now that the veil has come down and we come to see the truth of a thing; albeit a very inconvenient truth for some- that WE ELECTED a broke, indebted, wannabe dictator -a wannabe authoritarian -a greedy, money hungry racist that used an opportunity by way of this position to fill his and his family's coffers and the coffers of the rich out of the bank account of the richest country in the world. But praise the Lord, this chapter is over...for now. If we learn the lesson. Only and until we genuinely choose to live by TRUE biblical principles and not this fake evangelical garbage that comes straight from the pits of hell, Paula White
